Marnie Carter, Matriarch of the Carter Auto Group, is recognized for her service to the New Car Dealers Foundation of BC. Marnie joined the Foundation Board in 2000, and became Chairperson in 2003. After serving for an entire decade, Marnie stepped down from her role as Chair in 2012, but continues to serve as an active Director.

Marnie’s ongoing energy and commitment towards the Foundation and its endeavours is remarkable. She takes on a leadership role with the Foundation and Special Olympics BC Auction every year. On average, the auction raises close to $200,000 annually and a large amount of this can be linked back to Marnie’s work.

Additionally, Marnie (and the Carter Auto Family) was one of four individuals who contributed a major leadership contribution, allowing the New Car Dealers of BC to establish an endowment fund. Interest income from the endowment fund is given out on an annual basis through the Foundation’s CarCareerBC Grant Program to young people in BC who are following their dreams to enter into the automotive industry.
