Canadian Red Cross – Getting Resources To Those In Need

The Canadian Red Cross has launched the British Columbia Floods and Extreme Weather Appeal to support those impacted by the recent severe rainfall across the British Columbia southern coast and interior regions, which resulted in multiple flooding events, landslides, power outages, and other incidents.

The Canadian Red Cross is working closely with community leadership and all levels of government on how to best support people who are impacted by flooding and extreme weather in British Columbia.

  • Where requested, Canadian Red Cross teams are providing emergency support services to people who are impacted by flooding and extreme weather in British Columbia, on behalf of local authorities.
  • Red Cross is also providing cots, blankets, and clean-up kits to communities, upon request.
  • The Red Cross is also on standby and ready to provide additional support to community leadership, as well as local and provincial authorities to help meet the urgent and emerging needs of impacted communities.
