Vancouver, B.C. – The New Car Dealers Association (NCDA) of BC would like to extend a thank-you to Christy Clark following the news today that she is stepping out of political life. Her legacy to the people of British Columbia includes balancing five consecutive budgets and significant job creation, which has resulted in a strong economy that all British Columbians benefit from.

As one of the largest employers in the province, the New Car Dealers of BC were both directly and indirectly impacted by her strong and efficient leadership skills, resulting in unparalleled growth within the automotive industry.

“When future generations look back at transformational Premiers who helped shape British Columbia, Christy Clark will be seen as one of the greats,” says NCDA President & CEO, Blair Qualey. “Although we didn’t always agree, Christy Clark always listened to the issues we raised on behalf of our more than 380 member dealerships and worked hard to create a British Columbia where these entrepreneurial small businesses and their thousands of employees could thrive. Christy thank you so very much for all you have done for BC and Canada.”

The NCDA wishes Christy Clark much success and happiness in the next chapter of her life as she steps down as leader of the BC Liberals.
