CAR CAREER BC EDUCATION GRANT
The New Car Dealers Foundation of B.C. will award CarCareerBC Education Grants to eligible students in British Columbia who wish to pursue a course of post-secondary education or training leading to a career in the automotive industry. These may include, but are not limited to: service or repair training, business degree, marketing diploma…any type of training that ccould be applied to a career in a new car dealership!
The New Car Dealers Foundation of B.C. invites applications from young men and women who have established residence in British Columbia by living in the province for twelve consecutive months during the year prior to applying for the Education Grant. A CarCareerBC Education Grant will provide financial support towards the cost of tuition and books for recipients enrolled in applicable apprenticeship, training or education.
The New Car Dealers Foundation Board of Directors acts as the Award Committee and award a number of grants each year ranging from $500 – $5,000. The Award Committee will be looking for candidates who have a serious interest in working in the Automobile Industry in British Columbia and who have the desire and qualifications to succeed. Candidates will be judged on the basis of the substantiated information contained in their application, support material and recommendations provided.

BC AUTOMOTIVE SECTOR ALLIANCE (BCASA): BC AUTO CAREERS
The BC Automotive Sector Alliance (BCASA) is a cooperative partnership between the Automotive Retailers Association and the New Car Dealers Association of BC created to provide a centralized resource network for the automotive sector across BC, and to resolve current and potential HR issues within the sector. BCASA’s focus providing career, HR and training guidance across the entire automotive sector career spectrum, including automotive service technicians, automotive collision repair technicians, service counter staff, office administration staff, and support specialists. Initial project funding was provided by the Ministry of Jobs, Tourism and Skills Training.
